I am a local landscape painter best known for my impressionistic views of the land around me, capturing the quiet expanse, and the life that inhabits it. Growing up in New Hope, PA I was inspired by the open land and pastoral scenes that I got to explore every day. Portraying this quiet life in a very clean photo-realistic style, I work primarily with acrylic paint and have recently been exploring the richness of oils on both watercolor paper and canvas. Painting both in-studio and Plein Air, I love the idea of capturing these little moments that others may pass. I have been honing and evolving these simple techniques since my days in high school art class.
I took my love of art, to the Rhode Island School of Design where I studied illustration and painting, hoping to one day be a gallery artist. After graduating in 2005 I took a different path in art, spending the next 12+ years lending my creative skills to the advertising world as a graphic designer, all the while harboring my desire to get back to the brush. Finally refocused on my paintings for the last few years, I have been accepted into a number of juried group shows, displaying art in New York City, West Virginia, Maryland, and events throughout Pennsylvania.
