Bette Conway

As a Geologist, Metalsmith, and Irish Fiddler, I draw inspiration from geology, nature and my Gaelic Roots.  My jewelry designs bring together elements of my skillset into each piece - the geology/minerals used, designs inspired by my work in water protection/ collection of marine creatures jewelry, and Irish fiddling/Modern Celtic jewelry design.  I have mastered many types of metal fabrication and design, including lost wax & cuttlebone casting, hand forging, open bezel setting, acid etching, reticulation and wire wrapping.  I utilize silver, gold, gemstones, minerals, fossils, and coins in my work, and purchase the majority of the stones I use in my designs at the Tucson, Arizona Rock and Gem show.  To see more examples of my work, visit my website at
